It exudes self-confidence and presence with its dynamic-sporty proportions and the striking front with centrally placed three-pointed star. The design line, which spans from the headlamps and sides to the rear axle, creates flowing, elegant dynamics even when at a standstill. 

The structured bonnet with powerdomes and the radiator grille with two blades lend the front a particularly wide appearance. The radiator grille is furthermore fitted with a mesh with criss-cross look. Below that: the stylised underride guard typical of SUVs, depending on selected equipment either in silver, matt silver chrome or high-gloss black, and the contrasting black wheel arch trim and side sill panels with bucket-tooth design. 

In the old days all headlamps needed to do was to give light. Today they shine like small works of art. This is above all due to the optionally available LED technology. LEDs have a much longer service life and are more efficient than conventional lights – and they create fascinating night-time design. Depending on your selected equipment you can also opt for this technology on the new GLA. LEDs are used as front turn indicators. The daytime driving lamps, the position markers and the tail lamps use so-called fibre-optic technology that allows a harmonious arc of light. The results are true gems – and an unmistakable design day and night.

True highlights at the rear are the chrome strip between the tail lamps, and the roof spoiler. The three optional Style, Urban and AMG Line design and equipment lines, which lend the new GLA three completely different characters, raise the level of individuality. 

The slightly elevated seating position and the horizontal structure of the design give the interior of the GLA its sporty character. The meticulous material selection and the finish with loving attention to detail create a harmonious, high-quality overall impression.

The driver's area of the GLA impresses with its sporty ambience and outstanding ergonomics. Attractive trim elements, the large – seemingly free-floating – media display and a sublime centre console convince with clear, functional styling and the use of first-rate materials.

The interior also offers lots of room for individuality. This is tangible in the three selectable design and equipment lines and in the equipment packages as well as in the multitude of possible combination of trim pieces and upholsteries. The uni-coloured ambient lighting provides an atmosphere of exclusivity and improved ease of operation. It is part of the Light and Sight package and includes front and rear footwell lighting as well as illuminated door sill panels.

The optional ambient lighting in twelve colours creates individual lighting moods. With its pleasant, indirect light it creates an unrivalled sense of well-being throughout the interior.
